Light-Duty Program Contents
(5 Year Certification)

N.A.T.A. has several light-duty programs designed for specific purposes, including:
- Original N.A.T.A. 2-day, light-duty training and certification program - Valid for 5 years
- Special 2-day training to prepare for TRAA Level I certification testing
- Special N.A.T.A. training and certification for motor club service providers - Valid for 5 years
DAY 1:

Classroom - Approximately 5 hours
Unit 1 - Introduction
Unit 2 - The Operator's Duties and Responsibilities
Unit 3 - The Tow Truck
Unit 4 - Wheel Lift
Unit 5 - Car Carriers
Unit 6 - Dollies
Unit 7A - Safe Braking and Steering Capacity
Unit 7B - Driver Improvement
Hands-on Loading Procedures - Approximately 3 hours
Each student will load a wheel lift, car carrier, and dollies.

DAY 2:
Classroom - Approximately 4 hours
Unit 8 - HAZMAT and Bio-Hazards
Unit 9 - Equipment Maintenance
Unit 10 - Recovery
Rigging and Rollovers - Approximately 4 hours
Students will be split into teams of 2 or 3. There will be 10 hands-on recovery problems involving snatch blocks and vehicle rollovers. Each student will be assigned one or two problems.
