North American Towing Academy's Heavy-Duty training and certification program has been built as a "stand-alone" program and does not require a certification in light and medium-duty before attending. We do require at least 90 days job experience on a heavy-duty wrecker, verifiable by the owner.


DAY 1:       classroom - Approximately 4 hours
       Part 1 - Introduction
       Part 2 - Towers As Professionals
       Part 3 - Incident Management
       Part 4 - HAZMAT & Bio-Hazards
       Part 5 - Types of Heavy-Duty Towing Equipment
       Part 6 - The Tow Truck
       Part 7 - Safe Braking and Steering
       Part 8 - Heavy-Duty Towability




      Day 1 - Hands-on Begins - Approximately 3 hours

DAY 2:       Classroom - Approximately 3 hours
       Part 9 - Heavy-Duty Recovery
       Part 10 - Preparing, Rigging and Rollovers

      Day 2 - Hands-on and demonstrations begin - Approximately 4 hours
      Certification Exam begins
